“They destroyed most of their baggage, which was immense” takes a humorous approach towards the topics of one-way realities and hopeless situations. Mounted to the wall, a wooden box with circular cutout shows a tiny hamster running endlessly in its wheel. However, the observer’s perception is challenged, for it is not the wheel that is spinning but the hamster, as if placed in a centrifuge. In its darker interpretation, the situation of the rodent might remind the observer of daily life. The philosophically inclined observer might laugh and ask himself the question: is Sisyphus rolling the stone or is the stone rolling Sisyphus? The only intention the artists can be held responsible for is making a hamster spin in a box.
