On today's derive, I explored different aspects of the Cooks illustrated website. I visit this cite often because I enjoy cooking, so I first landed on the homepage of the site where I saw a very good looking recipe called Red Lentil soup. I clicked on the link which lead me to a page that described why the recipe is good and exactly how to reproduce it. I then saw a link called "recipe develoment" and I was intreged to find out what that meant. I clicked on it and that link lead me to a page talking about exacly how Cooks Illustrated cooks came up with the recipe and their process of curation of flavors. Once finishing reading that, the website suggested similar recipes near the footer of the page, and I saw one I liked so I clicked on it. That lead me to a new recipe called Lentil salad and as I perused the ingredients list, I found that one was hyperlinked, the ingredient for chicken broth. Once I cliceked on it, I was redirected to a review page that they created to find the best store bought chicken broth to cook with. The page described their process of choosing as well as all the contendors in the comparision.

My entire derive was focused inside one website, but I was able to discover almost all of the different kinds of information the website had to offer. For example, the fact that they curate their recipes to find the best versions of them, and how they test different brands of the same product to find out what is best for the home cook to use. They also connect their entire site together well, making it easy to discover new recipes and information on every page you visit.
