I think this image is a perfect example of ugly memes on the internet. It uses many of the norms of memes discussed in the The Internet Ugly Aesthetic reading because of the horrible use of photoshop, stock photos, and the meaning that is somewhat non-sensical.
This image is beautiful to me. It is a work of art by an artist I follow on instagram, and I believe his page makes perfect use of the internet, to show his work to thousands of people in a very polished and clean way. His work is original, where as many of the ugly things I find on the internet are trying to copy something that someone else did, but not doing as well of a job, or examples where people just dont care to polish what they are showing to the world, like the types of posts commonly seen on reddit or 4chan.
