Weekly 6

Tuesday's lecture was an eye-opening expereince. Xin Xin's discussion brought many things regarding web security to my attention that I had never considered at all. Combined with the readings and now knowing all the things I'd have to do to stay off grid, I'm under the impression that I'll be one of the millions of people who just continues to give up my data without fighting back all that hard. Though I think tools like the Beaker Browser are interesting, I don't think enough of the general population will know how to use it or even care enough to attempt a switch. At this point, I think we're too far gone in terms of how much we willingly give away to really even have a chance to reel it in.
