Weekly 2 The article, Think You Can Live Offline Without Being Tracked? Here's What It Takes, makes readers realize just how much their online presence can be tracked. People spend so much time online without realizing that someone else could be following everything everything you do. The article highlights how someone might track you such as from your shopping history and social media. In another article, The Male Gazed, the author describes similar themes about tracking, specifically about Facebook. I never knew Facebook originated from an app called Facemash which is the equivalent of Tinder today. This article makes me question if social media platforms are sexist and if female profiles are being treated/tracked differently from male profiles.
