The Fear of Insects

There is something inherently terrifying thinking about something destroying you from the inside out rather than from the outside. There are feelings of nausea, disgust, and trepidation when I see worms, and I get tingly sensations all over my body as if they were wiggling around under my skin.

I have a fear of cockroaches because they always seem to never die whether I try to smash them or spray them. They run extremely fast and can fit into the smallest holes so if they get away from you they will always return. Sometimes they are also very large which is disgusting and this is why I fear them.

The animal that I fear the most is a cockroach. Cockroaches are dark, have several legs, can run fast, and are just plain creepy. Cockroaches make my skin crawl and make me panic like they are everywhere. Most importantly, cockroaches will probably survive the apocalypse.

Mosquitos. They sneak up on you when you least expect it, you can't fight them ( in the end they always find a way to bite you) They'll bring you all kinds of diseases ( at least the once they can carry ) These guys kill over 1 million people per year begin rated as the most deadliest animal on the planet.

I have a phobia about any kind of "worm" with legs. Caterpillars, centipedes, millipedes, grub worms - I can go into hysterics and have actually hurt people who thought it was funny to try to put one on me. I was "stung" by a poisonous caterpillar when I was very small and it traumatized me so badly that, over 50 years later, I still have a severe reaction, even to pictures of them.

Cicadas, I know its completely irrational, they dont even have mouths. The things still give me the creeps and I jump and scream if one lands on me.
