I once heard someone saying that you can never imagine something you've never seen before. I tried to object it but failed to think of anything I've never seen before. Anything close is still a combination of things I've seen. It's hard to think outside of the box, let alone realizing the fact that we are in a box, that the "map" we think represents the world is not actually the "true" and only map. This article makes me reflect on my relationship with internet technology, and I find myself often in a very passive position. I take what's being fed to me, acting as one of billions of data or tools sold to advertisements. I really appreciate the author pointing out that there are other possibilites of the screens, and what we are used to right now is not what internet should be or could be. It inspires me to think about why we are making innovations, and what kind of future we want to build before we build according to conventions. It also reminds me of how powerful and possible internet technology can be. I also really like the overall layout and aesthetic of the website, especially on how the constant color change in the background corresponds to his idea of flux.
The idea of this project to create an alternate version of us to endure crush is very interesting, and the interactive experience with Graham is interestingly creepy.
I love the 3D space created in the introductory page and the motion graphics when scrolling down.It really makes the web page have depth, as if entering another dimentsion.
The overall interactive experience is really coherent with the aesthetics. I love how users randomly changing the videos doesn't interrupt the story or overall atmosphere of the website. Interacting with the fonts are very interesting.
It's the coolest interactive portfolio websites I've seen. This way of representing work is really unique and appealing.
A perfect unique introduction to the movie.
