I knew about Cambridge Analytica before the lecture with Xin Xin, but I never knew the extent to which facebook and other platforms utilize our personal information. I'm definitely going to use the extensions we downloaded in class as just an extra shell of protection. I don't think I'll use the messaging app that we downloaded but I'll definitely use "https" and "privacy badger". They don't add any extra steps to use so there's no reason not to.
