3D printed, glow in the dark Mushroom Headband

conceptually: what would happen if people were more aware of their food, where it came from? Starvation causes food to always be on a person's mind, but many of us in the "first world" do not experience what can be considered real hunger.

This piece, printed on a flexible but still somewhat unforgiving nylon plastic, gives a consistent pressure to it's wearer--reminding them constantly about the "growth" on their heads. It's also interactive--the wearer is encouraged to interact with the mushrooms in a way that they don't normally work with fashion accessories, as people will purposefully try to aim their heads at the best source of light in order to see the piece glow. It's modelled after the growth patterns of Oyster Mushrooms--which are edible and always tasty!
