Project One: Part Two

Design Concept and Sitemap

As someone who is particularly interested in interactive media, I want to centralize my portfolio content on my interactive work. Specifically, I wish to incorporate works that revolve around projects that require user input, such as Unity games and immersive 3D spaces. I also want to highlight the narrative and story-telling elements of my projects, to show the personal meaning behind each work.

Ideally, I want my portfolio to be universal and available for anyone to view and interact with. I don't want to specifically limit my target audience to employers, as I wish to use this portfolio as also a journal of my design interests and projects. I also want to use this portfolio as an online gallery of my work to showcase to friends and family. For these reasons, I wish to incorporate simple but captivating mouse interactions. I want to keep it simple enough that it doesn't distract users from my actual work, but interesting enough that it potentially enhances the user experience. So that users can enjoy using my website and have an incentive to scroll for more.

Through these simple mouse interactions, I hope to engage users as much as I can to highlight their presence on my website. Afterall, interactive media cannot be interactive without its audience. Ultimately, I hope that users can become self-aware of the importance of their presence on my website.
