If the internet was Earth, then websites would probably be the cities on Earth. My dérives usually take place in the specific cities of YouTube and Instagram. On YouTube, I often find myself watching a video about cultural food in the first five minutes, and then end up watching a documentary on conjoined twins within the next hour. I go through similar bing-like sessions on Instagram as well. After I click into one profile that interests me, I will most likely click into another profile that was tagged in a photo. I will eventually end my internet-Instagram dérive when I get bored or when my eyes get dry.
