When I read the article on the dérive, I immediately thought of Wikipedia binges where you go from link to link eventually ending up on a page for a completely different topic from the one you started on. For my dérive, I started on the Rajneeshpuram page because I had been reading up on the cult because I had recently watched Wild Wild Country, which was also the next link. I then clicked on the spy kids page because it was under a list of upcoming Netflix projects and I got excited. The Weinstein abuse allegations were after that because The Weinstein Company is producing the show. Finally, from there, I got to the Shitty Media Men page because it came out of the resulting "Me Too" movement and it's pretty relevant to me because I plan on working in the media industry.
