Weekly #7

My general consensus on the design guidelines is that it's a good idea at heart. I understand the need to be calibrated to your audience, being conscious in the decisions you make, and keeping things unoffensive. These articles were written in a way that attempt to censor or limit expression for the designer however. It's one thing to remind people to be mindful, but when you're starting to generate a list or a doctrine, it starts to get a little too much for my taste. I will of course be designing everything in my life with as much research as I can gather, to serve the most people in the best ways. I think that's just a fundamental part of design. Also, I could be in a minority when it comes to taking in consideration before designing or planning a project. This might be a useful article for someone who's just genuinely let these important points pass right by them unnoticed.
