Frank Chimero's What Screens Want presents some easy-to-understand metaphors on the evolution
of the internet that greatly helped me conceptualize theories taht I otherwise would have
had trouble understanding. The idea that making a website is based on a level of
abstracting the information trying to be communicated was particularly interesting.
Chimero writes, "Each level of abstraction becomes an opportunity to make work more
efficient, communicate more clearly, and assist understanding." This is very true.
Everything on the internet is trying to communicate something and whether or not it's
communicated well depends on the level of abstraction of the website. Some of the best
websites in my opinion are proably some of the simplests on the back-end. On the other
end of the spectrum, however, some websites that are communicated super well and look
relatively simple are some of the most complicated on the back-end. It's all a spectrum
that I am excited to explore.

Lastly, the quote "If something can be anything, it usually becomes everything." in regards
to the comparison of plastic and the internet was genuis.
