I think the article on 10 ways designers can support social justice is very intentional and
well thought out. It considers the many aspects that many creatives don’t. I found the
“rethink representation” section particularly relevant toward what I am doing with my
vintage shop. I have made a conscious effort to include models of all shapes, sizes,
and colors in my photography, especially when selling vintage clothes. It’s important to
the customer that they can see themselves in the article of clothing, and that is less
likely if none of the models look like them.
