Physical Network Infrastructure
I'm going to be walking on my way to school to see if I can catch any of the physical network infrastructure that was discussed in the book. I have never really paid attention to such signs. Before reading it, I was thinking thinks like the Hollywood sign or Pokemon Go stops which where phyiscal locations that brought people together through social media. I never considered the phyiscal signs of the web before!
while I was walking I found a lot of manhole covers from Time Warner. I think they were the easiest to look out for. I was also trying to find the orange graffitti and the internet boxes but to no avail. I was able to find a few junction boxes and a company truck.
It was super interesting to find these obvious signs of the internet in the real world but not notice them until now. It was also super interesting to see how things we deem neccesities: water, electricity, etc. are modeled/designed in the same way that internet things are.
