I started this internet dérive with an article that caught my attention from my Facebook newsfeed about the Las Vegas Mass Shooting that took place earlier this week. Upset and puzzled about this heinous act and why the facts about the gunman and his actions don’t seem to line up, I turned to Google to try to find answers. I stumbled upon this Investigation with the killer’s girlfriend. Automatically after watching the video interview of the girlfriend’s sisters talking about their side of the story, the next video starts playing which is a compilation of Bodycam Videos from the Las Vegas police officers who responded to the shooting. From here, I recalled from an article I read earlier in the day saying the shooter may have originally planned to target the Lorde and Chance the Rapper Concert that took place a few weeks ago - and dug that article back up to read more. After this, I returned to my Facebook newsfeed to find a commentary on the Double Standard In How the Media is Portraying The Las Vegas Shooter.
