Freeways
Freeways are the main source of navigation in Los Angeles. Because Los Angeles is a decentralized city, the freeways are necessary for getting around LA.
Construction
LA is constantly developing its infrastructure. Unlike the article, construction on LA's infrastructure is always noticeable because it starts getting in the way of traffic.
Water Pipes
These are the water pipes in my building. Like the article described, they were pretty unnoticeable for a while and I never really paid attention to how water flowed through my apartment. But then my kitchen flooded twice, so now I'm a little more alert.
