I think it’s interesting that privacy seems like a distant option in order to access the internet nowadays. I wonder if there’s anyway that people can go off the grid and still reap the benefits of being connected with people, businesses and opportunities online. I find it really scary that people can track and do background checks of you without your knowledge and why is this allowed? Why are cooperations, companies and the government not letting us know that our privacy has been breached? This reminds me of the whole Snowden controversy and it scares me that I feel so helpless about anyone and myself trying to change anything at all.
