After reading Ice Poseidon’s experience as a streamer, I definitely would want to set boundaries on my streaming so that I could still have my privacy and personal life. I find it interesting to think about transforming yourself into a character while living your life. The lack of transparency is quite scary to think about. I’m personally very family-oriented, and I would not want to involve my family into the streamer life.
If I were a full-time IRL streamer generating income from my viewers, my streaming content would probably revolve around traveling and being around my friends. I probably would also stream more mundane content, like cooking or watching movies. I would have to transform my character into someone who is more bubbly and talkative. Unlike Ice Poseidon, I would want to have a more positive impact in my stream, inspiring and encouraging my viewers to be someone of use. I personally believe that there are too many streamers and entertainers who misuse their platform for financial gains, without thinking of the social implications and effects that it has on the younger generation. I know that preaching wouldn’t attract anyone, so I would want encourage positivity in a more subtle way through humor. So if I were to describe my streaming idea in one word, it would be “wholesome."
