Popcorn Robot Etsy

Research
I started by researching trends in the medspa and aesthetic niche on Etsy to better understand what kind of digital products were selling well and why. I analyzed top-performing template shops and noticed a lack of offerings that balanced clinical credibility with a clean, modern aesthetic tailored to aesthetic nurses and medspas. I identified high-intent keywords and content categories that customers were actively searching for, allowing me to position Popcorn Robot as a high-end, plug-and-play solution for overwhelmed beauty professionals who needed cohesive, branded content fast.

Prototype
I mapped out the structure of our storefront, prioritized our top product categories, and designed a cohesive visual identity that felt both polished and approachable. I developed a series of Canva templates—Instagram posts, story highlights, treatment menus, and promotional kits—that medspa owners could easily customize. Each template emphasized brand professionalism while saving users time. I built mockup previews that clearly showed how each product looked in action, giving potential customers the confidence that they could envision these templates working for their own business. The goal was to make aesthetic branding feel effortless.

Solution
I created and uploaded a collection of fully customizable, SEO-optimized digital templates, complete with branded mockups and detailed product descriptions tailored to aesthetic business owners. I designed the Etsy storefront to reflect the brand’s modern and detail-oriented aesthetic, using soft, clinical tones and clean product layouts to build trust and visual clarity. Keyword-optimized titles, tags, and descriptions helped improve our visibility in search, while consistent branding across thumbnails and banners reinforced Popcorn Robot’s identity as a reliable creative partner for medspas.

Results
After launch, the Etsy shop began gaining initial traction with a few saves on listings, indicating early interest from our target audience. To boost visibility, I began uploading product mockups to Pinterest using keyword-rich descriptions and category-specific boards, which helped drive more traffic back to the Etsy storefront and resulted in additional saves. While the templates were well-received and positioned for growth, the startup ultimately decided to pivot its business model in a different direction, and the Etsy account was dissolved. Still, the project served as a valuable learning experience in visual branding, marketplace optimization, and digital product strategy.
