Bioblot Backend
Research
I conducted an in-depth analysis of backend interfaces for medical data management, focusing on best practices for data organization, security, and accessibility. This included a competitive analysis of existing health tech platforms to identify effective ways to streamline data retrieval and presentation. Additionally, I worked closely with the CEO and development team to understand the specific needs of doctors and administrators, ensuring that the backend UI would facilitate efficient workflow, accurate data display, and ease of navigation.
Prototype
Using insights from my research, I developed wireframes that prioritize functionality, clarity, and efficiency. Some key design elements include a structured dashboard that allows doctors to quickly access and interpret patient test results and search and filtering capabilities to easily locate patient records based on specific parameters. I also made sure to implement a clean, hierarchical layout to prevent information overload while ensuring that critical data remains accessible at a glance. Role-based access controls are used to maintain data security and compliance with medical privacy regulations.
Solution
I designed an interface that balances data complexity with usability, ensuring that medical professionals can quickly navigate and analyze patient results without unnecessary friction. The UI follows Bioblot’s branding while maintaining a clean, professional aesthetic. Collaboration with developers ensured that the design integrates smoothly with the backend infrastructure, allowing for real-time data updates and seamless interaction with the mobile app.
Next Steps
The project is currently in the UI development phase, with ongoing refinements based on feedback from stakeholders. As the backend UI progresses, the next steps include conducting usability testing with medical professionals to optimize efficiency, refining data visualization to enhance readability and reduce cognitive load, finalizing integration with the app’s database and front-end components.
