D&H Fire

Research
I conducted an in-depth analysis of fire protection services in Riverside, examining demand trends among businesses and households. This included a competitive analysis of top-ranking local companies to identify gaps and opportunities for differentiation. I also researched high-performing keywords to optimize on-page SEO and improve search visibility.

Prototype
Using insights from my research, I developed a revised site layout and branding strategy that emphasized the company’s family-owned roots and commitment to eco-friendly solutions—values that resonate with younger demographics. I designed wireframes that featured clear definitions of fire protection services for those unfamiliar with industry terms and incorporated fire safety statistics to demonstrate the risks of business fires, positioning the company’s services as essential solutions. Special emphasis was placed on smoke detector installation, as it is the most in-demand service among households.

Solution
I redesigned the website with a modern, user-friendly UI, prioritizing clear service descriptions and intuitive navigation. The branding was refined to highlight the company’s trustworthiness as a family-owned business and their eco-conscious approach to fire safety. SEO improvements included optimized metadata, strategic keyword placement, and updated content aligned with search trends. Additionally, the new design incorporated educational content on fire safety, reinforcing the company’s expertise while making their services more accessible to a broader audience.

Results
The revamped website successfully improved user engagement and search visibility. Within weeks, the site ranked in the top 5 on Google for fire protection services in Riverside. The client reported increased inquiries and positive feedback on the improved design, easier navigation, and the educational content that helped potential customers make informed decisions.
