About Us!
Hi there! We’re Cherry Pickings—a couple of gals selling vintage! CP started when Maddy reached out to Artemis about collaborating to start an online vintage shop. Artemis was equally as thrilled about the idea and the two simply decided to make it happen! When it came down to creating the brand and choosing a name, they knew they wanted it to have special meaning. Artemis suggested incorporating “Cherry” because she’d always been told a story about how, as a child, her mother would climb the trees in her grandfather’s cherry orchards, put the double cherries over her ears and pretend they were earrings. Her mother’s effortlessly chic and classic style had always been an inspiration for Artemis, so it seemed fitting to use the name and symbol of a cherry for the brand.
Maddy and Artemis’ inspiration stems from a multitude of places and eras. The duo collects vintage from all across globe- with pieces from Mexico to Vietnam to Paris. Together, they curate styles for seasonal collections, style the pieces within a completed look or ensemble, photograph the pieces, and promote them online through Instagram and Depop. Maddy photographs all the pieces on film on her Nikon camera and Polaroid Originals camera.
