Solutions to big problems often start with small steps. The $100 Solution™ provides students with knowledge, skills, and funds of exactly 100 USD to go into communities and make a difference by asking a simple question: "What can we do to improve your quality of life?" The program demonstrates the power a small amount of money has to change lives, and it challenges the way public service is traditionally done by fully engaging students in the process.

The $100 Solution™, created by Dr. Bernie Strenecky, is the only non-profit organization that is run entirely by young professionals under the age of 25. Through The $100 Solution™, students learn leadership, social responsibility, and problem-solving skills by translating needs into innovative and sustainable solutions. They use their intellectual capital - skills and competencies developed in the classroom - to address social problems. Through The $100 Solution™ methodology, students from across the spectrum of academic majors learn teamwork, partnership, capacity building, reflection, and reciprocity by using these skills while serving the international community as well as their own local communities. The decisions are real, not hypothetical. The $100 Solution™ transforms students' thinking "from me to we" and shows students them they can make a difference.

To be a mutually beneficial program providing students with opportunities to enhance the quality of life for those in need worldwide.
