Run Men Run

RUN MEN RUN is a series of drawings based on Rebecca Solnit's novel, "Men Explain Things to Me". This series explores some of the issues concerning gender equality and the assertions that some men impose on women, similar to the novel's themes. The illustrations take inspiration from Roy Lichtenstein's comic strip style as well as famous paintings and icons. The juxtaposition of the artistic elements for this series comes from its playful attitude towards a serious social issue that is often misrepresented in the media.
