I know him from: | Directing Finding Nemo, Wall-E and Finding Dory, i.e. some of my absolute favorite films. |
Andrew created and directed Wall-E and Finding Nemo at Pixar — two films that are simply incredible pieces of art, and that I adored growing up. He came to UCLA for a conversation with the UCLA Institute of Environment and Sustainability on portraying the environment in animated films. I went up to him after the Q&A for a picture; bumped into my fellow DESMA friend Hajar who was in front of me (she took this photo). I told Andrew: “Unpopular opinion: Finding Dory was even better than Nemo (he made both)…the ending of Dory gets me every time”. To which he responded: “Aww”.
