Jonah was part of a panel of entrepreneurs/artists/researchers that participated in a Q&A after the documentary screened (it was about artificial intelligence). Westworld ranks in my Top 5 favorite TV shows of all time — which, spoiler alert, he created. (And in case you still haven’t figured it out, his brother is Christopher Nolan.) Because the event was so low-key, everyone on the panel stayed behind for people to come up to ask more questions. I spent two minutes talking with him about Westworld, what the research process was behind the show, and how certain things discussed in the documentary relate to concepts central to the show. He gave a surprisingly detailed response and managed not to spoil the show’s second season, which had not been released yet. After the photo, he said “Nice to meet you too”, and I think that made my entire year.
