Fact: Mary Poppins Returns was better the second time I watched it. Watching it on the Disney studio lot made it better. Watching it and getting a series of six filmmaker Q&As afterward? This movie has my vote for the Oscars, if I could vote. I grabbed a picture with Rob, who directed the movie, just as he was being escorted out by security (Emily Blunt had already been consumed by the crowd of fans in front of me). Thank you, Rob, for directing one of the most breathtaking musical sequences in my recent memory (search “Trip a Little Light Fantastic” on YouTube).
