Woke up late and we headed out on the town. I got the biggest Philly cheese steak ever, I was hardly able to finish it. I stuffed myself good. RUMBLE, I thought my stomach was about to let me revisit lunch. RUMBLE! The earth tore open with the sound of thunder. Black crevasses ripped across the street separating me from the others. Buildings toppled next to me and suddenly the street dropped thirty feet. Part of Anchorage collapsed into the sea and the soil turned to quicksand with buildings sinking all around us. We could literally see ripples racing across the ground as if it were made of water. The shock waves hit the ocean and sent out a tsunami. The shock wave overturned an oil tanker. Bursts of flame and an explosion sent a fiery tidal wave back towards the shore. We ran with terror to the sea plane docks hoping to escape, but by the time we got there the planes were already gone. Perhaps more rescue planes would arrive tomorrow so we searched for any upright building to use for shelter. Shaken and fearful we all realized that we were terribly hungry. The earthquake had littered the shores with fish and we made some rice and wrapped the fresh fish in seaweed. We grilled some eel. Lauren and Jennifer, even in the face of starvation, refused to eat fish so we were forced to forage for some turf to accompany our surf. We found a chicken and part of a cow that had been mauled by a bear. Everyone was pleased. We pulled a few Oreos from our packs and covered them in tempura batter and fried them on the flaming tanker waves and ate them with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Best Dessert Ever!!
